With 20 years in government practice, Claire Savaglio provides extensive litigation experience with a particular focus on property tax assessment appeals. As an Administrative Law Judge at the Property Tax Appeal Board for nearly 3 years, Claire has presided over dozens of hearings and written thousands of decisions on real estate assessment appeals that range from residential to complex commercial or industrial properties.
Before joining Ryan Law, Claire spent 15 years as an Assistant State’s Attorney prosecuting thousands of cases ranging from retail theft, narcotics, burglary, armed robbery, domestic violence, sexual assault, and homicide. Claire prosecuted hundreds of felony bench trials and over 20 felony juries. As a staff attorney at the IL FOP Labor Council, Claire was lead counsel in multiple arbitrations representing police officers in disciplinary matters. Claire also represented hundreds of bargaining unit members across Illinois in contract negotiations as well as disciplinary proceedings.
Being a member of the Ryan Law team allows me to utilize my litigation experience in conjunction with my knowledge gained by presiding over administrative hearings at PTAB to offer Ryan Law’s clients a thorough understanding of the process to reach the best possible outcome.
