Dan has represented clients in all aspects of property tax matters and disputes across the New England region for over 15 years. He has extensive experience advocating on behalf of real estate investors and users of all types of commercial properties, including urban and suburban offices, laboratory and R&D facilities, data centers, market and subsidized apartments, mixed-use complexes, hotels and resorts, big-box and retail centers, industrial properties, and independent and assisted living facilities.
In addition to his advocacy efforts, Dan collaborates with clients to implement tax mitigation strategies and agreements. He also advises on tax implications associated with acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Dan has been a frequent guest speaker on property tax matters for organizations such as the Boston Bar Association, the Council on State Taxation, the Real Estate Finance Association, and NAIOP. He has provided expert testimony to both local and state legislatures, including the Boston City Council, the Massachusetts State Legislature, and the Connecticut General Assembly. Dan was also part of a property tax task force convened by the Connecticut State Senate. He has authored numerous articles and white papers on property tax issues.
Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, where he attended on an Academic Trustee Scholarship, earned Dean’s List honors every semester, and was a member of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity.
